Meet Odette Charles
In honor of National Business Etiquette Week (NBEW), we wanted to take this opportunity to provide a better understanding of our graduates and the amazing things they are doing! Odette Charles is a 2017 graduate of PSOW. Here's what she shared with us!
How do you utilize your PSOW training? I graduated from PSOW in April 2017, on my return home I began using my training immediately by presenting 1 & 1/2 day sessions with MIC-Institute of Technology, a number of Government agencies, Businesses, Colleges and schools. I am now preparing to launch training sessions outside of Trinidad and Tobago. I have also been a guest speaker on radio and television programmes sharing my knowledge on areas of etiquette and protocol.
What topics do you teach the most (or favorite topics to teach)? My favourite areas to teach are Outclass the Competition and Developing professional/business image but I have the most fun teaching Dine like a Diplomat.
How has PSOW had an impact on your life/career? The training at PSOW has accelerated my life/career immensely and increased my social capital, personal development, professional skills, employability, quality of life, self-discipline, talent and potential. It continues to be an inspiring journey for me especially when I see persons completing my training sessions, cultivate positivity, improve sociability, evolving beyond their limitations and enhancing their awareness. Personally the training has broaden my prospective, improve my leadership qualities and accelerated my growth socially and financially!
What advice would you give to those who are considering attending a course at PSOW? It’s an INVESTMENT not a COST! The recognition and pride when asked where I received my training (PSOW) and then the questions and respect. I know my education, experience, and memories are three things that no one can take away from me and I have all three etched in my life experience after attending PSOW. Go for it!
First job(s)? Secretary at a Law firm in 1989, Accounts Clerk at a major auto company in Trinidad.

Guilty Pleasure? Drinking tea anytime day or night and shoe shopping.
