Meet Maryanne Parker, "PSOW Walk of Fame" STAR

In honor of National Business Etiquette Week (NBEW) June 3-9, 2018, we wanted to take this opportunity to provide a better understanding of our graduates and the amazing things they are doing! Maryanne Parker is a 2017 graduate of PSOW, Here's what she had to tell us!

How do you utilize your PSOW training? I do utilize my PSOW training all the time because I have my own company, www.manorofmanners.com. Even with the younger students because the training is timeless and for many might look as common sense, but common sense is not necessarily common practice.

What topics do you teach the most (or favorite topics to teach)? I teach very often Outclass the Competition (one day program) which is a very fast access for people to learn from the greatest sources in the world, not only to outclass the competition, but how to dominate in their industry. Also, Dine like a Diplomat. This summer I will be utilizing more often How to Succeed in the International Arena.

How has PSOW had an impact on your life/career? PSOW had a tremendous impact on my career because I always believed in the best training. And I am referring to The best training globally. Mediocre training usually leads not surprisingly to mediocre results. Also, the feeling of belonging to PSOW gives me the possibility and potential opportunities to be more influential. I was always encouraged by everyone I had the opportunity to meet and train with and everyone made me feel comfortable and accepted. PSOW was my dream school for a few years, and when it finally happened, I felt that I am living not only The American Dream, but in General Living The Dream. (I am originally from Bulgaria).

What advice would you give to those who are considering attending a course at PSOW? The advice is "Just DO IT"! The sooner, the better! If you cannot afford it, take a loan. This investment is so much worth it, and you will get a return of the money in a very short time frame. The PSOW thought of every single little detail from how to present a contract to creating our own labels.

First job(s)? My first job was as a secretary to a CEO in a big company in my native Bulgaria. They did require English, which I didn’t speak at the time. I was 18 years of age. And the reason I got hired was because of my social skills. Social skills are much more powerful and influential than the hard skills.

Favorite book, movie or TV show? Favorite book - "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie

Guilty Pleasure? ANY kind of chocolate and baklava.

If there’s one thing we should know about you, it is… My motto is: "It doesn't matter where we are coming from, it matters where we are going to".
