National Business Etiquette Week 2020
National Business Etiquette Week will be recognized June 7-13, 2020. It was established in 2007 to highlight the importance of proper etiquette and the ways in which it improves interpersonal and intercultural communications, creates a professional environment for building relationships, and allows organizations to conduct business effectively in the global marketplace.
In this post-COVID world, where so much uncertainty remains, business etiquette provides the structure to ease the transition back to working in offices, hosting face-to-face meetings, and connecting with others.
In recognition of National Business Etiquette Week, we have compiled a list of 7 tips to guide your post-COVID19 transition back to the workplace. We will post a new tip each day.
TIP #1:
- Public Transportation – Presently, mass transportation such as trains, buses and subways are still concerning to most people. Even rides with Uber or Lyft can be daunting. Be prepared by carrying wipes, wearing disposable gloves, and donning your mask. Try to sit by yourself or stand in an unoccupied area. Let others exit first to provide distance between you and others during your departure. Avoid sharing an Uber or Lyft ride with others not in your family. Use anti-bacterial wipes immediately upon completion of your trip.
