Annual Protocol Check Up: Preventive Care

Annual Protocol Check Up: Take time to take care … of you! As a protocol officer, you are always taking care of others— THE trusted adviser who plans and orchestrates international VIP visits, meetings, ceremonies and special events for military, government, academia and the business world. You have a multitude of responsibilities and demands with a nonstop job that includes long hours, lack of sleep and constant stress. In honor of all that you do to make everyone else’s life easier, for once, let’s turn the focus back on YOU! It’s time for your Annual Protocol Check-up where you take time to take care of yourself. Follow the protocol doctor’s orders to ensure you stay healthy and in shape throughout the year.

Preventative care is one of the best things you can do to stay healthy, with tips like these:

• Injury Prevention: It’s easy to get frustrated when you are learning through mistakes, so prevent impending scar tissue by connecting with other protocol professionals to learn from each other.

• Case Studies: One of the best ways to learn how to maintain your professional health and wellness is by learning what others have gone through. Protocol Officer Training is a safe environment where you can share your challenges and successes with others. You’ll meet new people who share similar desires and interests and who will become friends and colleagues. After training, alumni are given access to an exclusive community called the Alumni Zone. We help Alumni connect with their peers and subject matter experts from around the world. And, we provide mentoring and privileged advice indefinitely.

• Strength Training: There is true strength in numbers by joining an association of like-minded individuals challenged in the same way. Protocol & Diplomacy International – Protocol Officers Association could be of value to you. This organization offers opportunities to network with experienced protocol professionals and a high quality of training that is available at the annual conference.

• Talk Therapy: If you have a challenging issue you are facing, talk it out with a friend or colleague (or fellow PSOW alumni). They have most likely dealt with similar situations in the past and can help by lending a sympathetic ear or help solve the issue.
