The Student Perspective: PSOW opening night from Auden Healey

THE PROTOCOL SCHOOL OF WASHINGTON: OPENING NIGHT September 25, 2014 Today was opening night of the Protocol School of Washington’s “Train to be a Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol Consultant” course which I am attending in McLean, VA.

We covered class materials, expectations, and got to know one another. I met three of our instructors, Pamela Eyring, Robert Hickey, and Leah Hawthorn. I was expecting a multi-cultural class from diverse backgrounds, but I am very impressed with the variety of industries and countries represented here, and how protocol and etiquette can be applicable and add value to many different arenas. There is such a wealth of talent and knowledge among my fellow classmates; I am excited to get to know everyone better over the coming five days.

When I registered for the course, I knew the reputation the Protocol School of Washington has for excellent training, but my first impression of the instructors, curriculum, and venue has exceeded my highest expectations.

The photo above is the welcome note I received from Pamela Eyring, President of the Protocol School of Washington, along with beautiful chocolate-covered strawberries. After a long day of travel, coming to my hotel to find this gift was a welcome surprise!
