"What is the best part of having your own business/consultancy?" : PSOW grads tell their story

Meet Dallas Teague Snider - Graduation Date: August 2007 Why did you initially come to PSOW? I originally wanted to work for the State Department following an experience in college with Education for Democracy. I wanted the same training received from those that worked in this arena.

What was your biggest take-away? The relationships with others looking to make a difference.

Are you consulting: full-time, part-time, or within your company or organization? I do professional development coaching as a spiritual life coach.

What does your typical day look like now? Varies based on demand

What is the best part of having your own business/consultancy? Being able to create a company and brand that reflected my unique values.

How long did it take for you to get your business โ€œoff the ground?โ€ As a contributor for business publications and over 20 years in hospitality, it took about 90 to 180 days following my initial launch to truly get a foothold as an industry expert.

What was the scariest part of starting your own business?  Overcoming the self-doubt and stepping out knowing that ultimately I was responsible for the success or failure.

How long have you been in business? I was already in business prior to PSOW, but added this division in 2007.

What are your favorite things to teach? How to be your best self. To me, this is about giving others the tools to be successful.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Television/Ministry

What advice would you give to those who are considering taking the Train to be a Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol Consultant course? There is nothing to lose and everything to gain.
